This year, through the national event, Ireland’s 31 county and city councils will promote the very positive impact local authorities have on people’s quality of life.
Meath County Council will be marking the day by posting online using #YourCouncilDay / #DoLásaChomhairle to promote services and amenities. LMFM Radio will also be broadcasting live from Buvinda House between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
An extensive array of services are used by people on a day-to-day basis which support quality living. These include parks, leisure, sports, library, arts, heritage, tourism, business support, healthy living and community services. Meath County Council also leads in protecting our living environments, street cleaning, litter control, monitoring of waterways and beaches, urban and village renewal schemes, maintenance of our roads and footpaths.
