Green Schools

Meath County Council partners with An Taisce Green Schools to promote the worldwide Green Schools Programme.

Community Environment Action Fund (previously Local Agenda 21)

PLEASE NOTE: This scheme has been suspended until 2023.

The Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund (LA21) which has operated since 1997, promotes sustainable development by assisting small-scale environmental projects at local level. The Scheme has been renamed the Community Environment Action Fund from 2019 onwards.

Pride of Place

The aim of Pride of Place is to work in partnership with communities, to encourage best practice, innovation and leadership in providing vibrant sustainable communities that improve the quality of life for all.

Meath County Council Pride of Place School Gardening Scheme

The aim of the School Pride of Place Schools Gardening Scheme Initiative is to provide school children the opportunity to learn about, and be active in some level of gardening (flowers, vegetables, etc.)

ReLove Fashion

ReLove Fashion 2022/23 - The Relove Fashion Competition is a sustainable fashion design competition open to secondary schools that encourages students to take a deeper look at how their clothing is made and offers an opportunity for them to design a unique piece of sustainable fashion.

Tidy Towns

The National Tidy Towns Competition is now in its 64th year.

Town and Village Renewal Scheme

The Town & Village Renewal Scheme provides funding for projects that make our towns and villages more attractive and sustainable.
