Unlock the mysteries of the chessboard with this beginners workshop. Participants will learn the rules and movements of the first four pieces: the King, Queen, Rook, and Pawn. Through a variety of fun and educational mini-games, you'll have the chance to practice with each piece, developing your skills and strategy guided by our experienced instructor.

Suitable for children aged 8-13.

This event is part of our Summer Stars Reading Programme and there is a limit of 2 workshops per child.

Event participants need to be members of the library and signed up to Summer Stars. If you are not a member of the library but would like you join we can sign you up on the day of the event.
