Halloween Costume Swap 2024

Drop, swap or shop at Navan Library from Friday, 4th October

Following on from the success of last year’s event, Navan Library is delighted to host our second annual Halloween Costume Swap, a community-driven event that emphasises sustainability and the joy of reusing. This initiative invites families to donate pre-loved costumes and accessories that their children have outgrown or no longer need, ensuring that other kids can benefit from them. By participating in this swap, library members can contribute to reducing waste and fostering an eco-friendly environment.

Drop, swap or shop

The concept is simple and inclusive: you can donate costumes, swap too-small costumes for something else, or simply choose a costume without the need to donate. This flexibility ensures that every child has the opportunity to experience the magic of Halloween without the financial burden of purchasing a brand-new costume. It’s a wonderful way to promote the value of sharing and support within the community.

By giving costumes a second life, the Halloween Costume Swap at Navan Library not only helps families save money but also teaches children the importance of sustainability and reusing resources. This event is a testament to how small, community-focused actions can make a significant impact on the environment. Everyone is encouraged to participate, whether by donating, swapping, or selecting a costume, to make this Halloween both fun and green.

Costumes and accessories can be donated from Friday, October 4th directly to Navan Library.

Costumes should be clean and in good condition. All sizes are welcome.
