Bealtaine 2025 - Songs by the Sea - A Musical Celebration with Buvinda Choir

Tuesday, 13th May at 7.00 p.m.

Join us in Bettystown Library for an evening of "Songs by the Sea" with Buvinda Choir. The choir will be joined by soloist, Colette Grant, will be accompanied by Michael Grant on piano and directed by Giovanna Feeley.

Formed in 2006, Buvinda: Meath County Council choir is an all ladies 3-part workplace choir. The members consist of staff, former staff and a small number of community members.

The choir performs at both the Council's corporate and community events and at events to celebrate Christmas, Seachtain na Gaeilge and the May Bealtaine festival.

Giovanna Feeley is a professional singer, choral director, and educator, with over 20 years' specialism in liturgical music. She has performed and recorded with a wide variety of ensembles, including Our Lady's Choral Society and Maynooth Chamber Choir as choral soprano. Solo soprano engagements include Fauré's Requiem, Handel's Dixit Dominus, Jenkin’s The Armed Man and Vivaldi's Gloria. In 2018 Giovanna was appointed director of BUVINDA Meath County Council & Friends Choir, a multi-genre workplace choir.
