Meath has been successful in gaining funding from the 2017 Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund.

The successful projects include Kilbride National School, Ballivor Tidy Towns, Scoil Mhuire Trim, Naturally Wild Workshops, Duleek Boys’ National School, St Oliver Plunkett National School, Scoil Ultain Naofa, Trim Youthreach, Dunderry National School, The Rediscovery Centre, Sonairte - The National Ecology Centre, Trim Tidy Towns, Dunboyne Junior Primary School, Irish Peatland Conservation Council, Songschool, Beewise and The Centre for Climate Change, with grants ranging from €500 to €3,260.

Close to €1 million in funding has been granted by Local Authorities and the Department of Communications Climate Action and Environment to 834 projects across the country.

The projects and schemes are supported under the fund each year and include school and community gardens, allotments, compost schemes, rainwater harvesting systems, educational initiatives workshops and exhibitions.

The scheme will be announced and open for applications again in Spring 2018. Ends.
