Tempest (50 nights in a Dublin Hotel) by Steve Wickham
Meath County Council Arts Office presents ‘Tempest (50 nights in a Dublin Hotel)’ by artist and musician Steve Wickham.
This collection of 20 paintings were made or begun in a Dublin hotel ‘The REZz’ during the run of Deirdre Kinahan’s play Tempesta, in the Glass Mask Theatre on Dawson Street in October 2023. Wickham was the musician for the run and played a supporting role as Papa Rosen. The paintings are small in dimension, keenly reflecting the confines of a hotel bedroom and were started as a visual diary during his extended stay in Dublin.
The exhibition runs from 11th November 2024 – 31st January 2025
