PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE IF YOU ARE AN APPLICANT ON THE HOUSING WAITING LIST IN COUNTY MEATH

The Housing Section of Meath County Council will commence a Housing Needs Assessment in accordance with Sections 3 and 21 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2009 from the 3rd April 2018.

Q.What is a Summary of Social Housing Assessment?

A. The Summary of Housing Assessment is a review of all applicants for social housing supports, who are currently on the social housing waiting lists within Meath. The 2020 Housing Needs Assessment is a review of those applicants for social housing supports that were qualified on the social housing waiting list with Meath County Council prior to 11th April 2019, but excluding those applicants that were qualified between 22nd April 2017 and 7th March 2018 inclusive.The information provided by each applicant will be reassessed under the Social Housing Assessment Regulations, 2011(as amended) taking into account the household’s eligibility and need.

Q.How will the Meath County Council contact approved applicants?

A. Meath County Council will contact each applicant that is up for review by telephone call (If you have changed details  please ensure that you update your details by contacting the Housing Section (see contact details below) before Friday the 10th October 2020

Q.What will you have to do?

A. Each household will receive a phone call and be asked a series of questions which will be populated onto a form,a copy of verified details will issue to applicants once complete.

Q.What will happen if we  cannot contact you?

A. If you fail to respond to the phone call and correspondence thereafter your application for social housing support will be terminated.

This assessment will establish the housing needs of Co. Meath as at 2nd November 2020. As and from that date, all future lettings of housing units will be made from this assessment.
