Making the Most of Your Food
Making the Most of Your Food
Each year every family in Ireland throws away €700 of food.
This year this figure may be higher as we are all cooking and eating at home every day. The waste collectors tell us that household waste has risen by up to 30%.
With this in mind, we are working with Catherine Fulvio from Ballyknocken House and Cookery School to give you some fresh ideas for meal planning, food & money saving tips and tips on how to get the most from the food you buy.
Bread, Potatoes, Pasta, Rice, Salad, Fruit and Vegetables are the most commonly wasted food in Ireland so we have started with 4 recipes to help you to Stop Food Waste.
We hope you enjoy the below recipes. A link to a list of ingredients can also be found below!
Irish Beef Burger, Mustard Mayo & Tomato Paprika Salad
Chicken Rice Stir Fry
Panzanella Salad
Salmon Pasta Bake
