In June 2024 6 Meath National Schools and 3 coding clubs exhibited their projects in the Microsoft Dream Space Showcase Schools event held in Microsoft’s HQ in Dublin. Registration is now open for all schools to take part in this year’s programme.
The Microsoft Dream Space Academy education programme introduces STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) at primary level in a creative, fun and collaborative way.
Whether the upper-national school aged group is brand new to STEM or already familiar with it, this programme is designed for everyone. With Dream Space TV, two free, structured pathways are offered that make it easy for any educator or facilitator to lead engaging STEM sessions in their classroom or club. Full training and support is provided to ensure a successful experience for all.
So National Schools are being invited to register to take part in the programme this school year and attend the Special Event at the end of the school year to showcase all their learning by presenting their innovative solutions to real-world issues.
Registration is now open! Begin the journey with us by signing up here: https://aka.ms/DSShowcase
It is delivered free online, and the only requirements are access to a laptop/tablet and access to the internet. Microsoft Dream Space will provide online tutorials to Meath’s primary school teachers to help them use small computers called Micro: bits. These devices are a great introduction to computational thinking, problem solving skills and critical thinking.
