Community Information Meeting - What's in the water? - Broadmeadow River Catchment
Community Information Meeting - What's in the water? - Broadmeadow River Catchment
The Broadmeadow River catchment is a priority area for action under the current River Basin Management Plan. As a result, there will be a focus on improving water quality in the local area. Good water quality is essential for human health and well-being, biodiversity and a vibrant local economy. The new approach centres on close cooperation between public bodies, water users and local communities.
Local knowledge is a vital part of this process, since it will shape the most effective solutions to the issues impacting on water quality in the area. More detailed information will be presented at the meeting, and there will be an opportunity for questions and informal discussion afterwards, over tea and coffee.
