Clean Coasts Roadshow 2025 : Behind the Lens
Thursday, 10th April at 7.00 pm
The Clean Coasts Roadshow returns to Navan Library for another photography event in association with Navan Camera Club.
The Clean Coasts Roadshows are a series of free talks and workshops for coastal communities which take place all around the coast of Ireland. The Roadshows aim to bring together all those with an interest in protecting their local beaches, seas and marine life and environment.
This year's "Behind the Lens" event will feature presentations from photographer, Dave Dyar of Navan Camera Club and from landscape photographer, Seán Berry.
Dave Dyar is the current Chairman of Navan Camera Club, which has been in existence since 1987. His presentation will feature the work of several members of the club to illustrate the wide variety of subjects and talent of Navan Camera Club members and will cover Landscape, Nature, Wildlife and Creative aspects of photography.
Seán Berry is a Landscape Photographer from Dundalk, Co. Louth. Most of his spare time is spent travelling Louth and further afield with his camera. Seán believes that Ireland is blessed with some of the best photo locations in the world and he enjoys nothing more than finding and exploring them.
Since 2010, the Love Your Coast photography competition has been a celebration of all the beauty and uniqueness of the Irish coast, that Clean Coasts volunteers work to protect. Through the competition, Clean Coasts invite the people in Ireland to appreciate, celebrate, and safeguard our coast, echoing the dedication of our over 2,000 volunteer groups working tirelessly to protect our marine environment.

About Clean Coasts and Navan Camera Club
The Clean Coasts programme from An Taisce works with communities to help protect and care for Ireland’s waterways, coastline, seas, ocean and marine life.
For the past 14 years the "Love Your Coast Photography Competition" has been inviting photographers to capture the uniqueness of our coastal landscape, heritage, wildlife, communities and more, and to submit their best shot across five categories: Coastal Heritage, Coastal Landscape, People & the Coast, Wildlife & the Coast and Creativity and the Coast. The competition provides an opportunity to view the coast and our waterways that the Clean Coasts programme works to protect from a completely different perspective and see the beauty captured therein.
Navan Camera Club was formed in 1987 when a small group of people finished a local VEC course in beginners photography and decided to start a club. Since then the club has grown and currently has many members with varying levels of photography experience from advanced to complete beginners. The annual club programme runs from September through to the following May.
