The River Basin Management Plan for Ireland 2018 – 2021 was launched in April 2018, setting out measures to be implemented over the next four years and a new approach for the protection and management of our waters. The Plan lists over 700 water bodies for focussed actions aimed at improving water quality. On the ground action will involve catchment assessments and stream walks to gain a better understanding of the issues impacting on water quality.
The Local Authority Waters Programme are holding public meetings prior to commencing field work in these Priority Areas for Action. As the Boycetown river catchment has been identified as an Priority Area for Action, an upcoming community information meeting will be held as per details below. This meeting will inform stakeholders and the public about the planned work programmes and to gather any local information that may inform the process.
Date and Time: Tuesday, 11th June, 7.30p.m.
Location: Trim Castle Hotel, Trim, Co. Meath, C15 FCY8
We would be delighted if you are able to attend and please do not hesitate to forward an invitation to the meeting to your local contacts.
