Ashbourne Bike Share Scheme Trial

Meath County Council and Moby Bikes have launched a 12 month pilot bike share scheme (BSS) in Ashbourne town for an initial trial period of 12 months; which started in April 2023 and will run until February 2024.

The bikes are available to rent by residents, public transport users, employees, businesses, and tourists. The scheme offers

  • value for money for regular users and visitors alike
  • ease of use
  • high quality, safe and reliable bikes in roadworthy condition
  • a range of payment options e.g. Pay As You Go options

Navan Bike Share Scheme (BSS) Trial

This Scheme has 25 pedal bikes, 25 e-bikes and 2 e-cargo bikes across the Navan area.

With the app, bikes can be rented by scanning the QR code or NFC.  In less than 3 seconds the bike is ready to go.  Personal data can be changed in the customer account and the rental history can be viewed.

How to Rent a Bike

Scan the QR code on the App. Pull the lock out from the right side of the rear wheel and place it in the holder on top of the rear wheel.

 

How to Pause a Bike Trip

Select ‘Park Bike’ and close the lock.  Your trip is still being charged.

 

How to Return a Bike

Return the bike at a station.  Take the cable from the holder above the wheel and put it into the opening in the back wheel.  Select ‘Return Bike’ in the app.
