eBooks and eAudio Books

Download eBooks and eAudiobooks to your PC or mobile device using BorrowBox by Bolinda. 

Borrow box

All you need to get started is

  • your library card number (from the back of your library card),
  • your PIN and
  • an email address

Then visit the library’s BorrowBox site, or download the BorrowBox App from the App Store, Play Store or Amazon App Store (for Amazon Fire Tablet).

To register:

  1. Select your library service: Enter Meath and select Meath County Council Library Services from the prompt.
  2. Enter your library card number at the ID/Barcode prompt
  3. Enter your library PIN. If you can't remember your PIN you can reset it here or contact your local library.
  4. Click on the Sign In button. 
  5. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  6. Browse the collection and start borrowing.

Note: eBooks can be downloaded to a PC and transfered to an eReader. However BorrowBox eBooks are not compatible with Kindle ereaders.

Features

  • Borrow up to 5 ebook and 5 eAudiobooks at a time.
  • The lending period is 3 weeks.
  • Loans are returned automatically. 
  • You can renew your items for a further 3 weeks and you can also return them early.   
  • If a title you would like is on loan you can reserve it and you will get a notification when it is available for you to borrow.
  • Add titles to your Reading List to remind you of titles you would like to read.
  • For readers with Dyslexia you can select a Dylsexic font and change the page colour to make the text more accessible.

Help

If you have a problem signing in to BorrowBox, then it may be an issue with your library card number or PIN, or your library account may have expired. You should contact your library who can reset your PIN or renew your library account for you.  You can also reset your PIN using the Online Catalogue.
