Biodiversity Week has been organised to develop awareness of the importance of biodiversity and to better understand its value to the local, national and international communities. Biodiversity Week in Meath is part of a European initiative to encourage people to take an interest in their local Biodiversity. The people of Meath are invited to get out into Meath’s Biodiversity, to visit Meath wild spots, lakes, rivers, bogs, woodlands or to simply enjoy the biodiversity of their back garden. National Biodiversity Data Centre

The National Biodiversity Data Centre is delighted to announce a comprehensive biodiversity training framework, which includes both hands-on workshops and online learning opportunities. Workshops and field days, led by NBDC staff or partner organisations, provide practical learning experiences to enhance your biodiversity skills. To complement the in-person workshops, the NBDC offers online courses through Ireland’s Biodiversity Learning Platform, allowing you to deepen your understanding of biodiversity topics at your own pace. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended. Additional training events will be made available throughout the year.
