Social Welfare
The Department of Social Protection has a range of social welfare payments that provide financial support. You will require a PPSN number to access supports from the Department of Social Protection. To get a social welfare payment, you must apply for it. So, if you think you are entitled to a payment you should always apply.
Your first step before applying, is to find out which payment you may be entitled to. https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/moving-country/asylum-seekers-and…
If you have applied for International Protection, live in or are on a waiting list to move into accommodation provided by the International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS) of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth while awaiting the decision on your application, you are entitled to receive the Daily Expenses Allowance.
You can apply by filling in the DEA1 form and sending to Sligo CWS Support Team, Social Welfare Services, College Road, Sligo, F91 T384
