The competition focus is about people coming together to shape, change and improve daily lives in their communities. 

There are a number of categories, for towns and villages based on population size, or based on specific themes. 

Each year, Meath County Council selects community groups and voluntary groups to represent Meath in the competition. 

Judging takes place during the Summer and an award ceremony takes place in November.
