I want to report an obstacle to my EU rights
Anyone engaging in Casual Trading in the administrative area of Meath County Council must hold a Casual Trading License. Meath County Council have designated casual trading sites in the County in accordance with the Casual Trading Bye Laws 1997.
In respect of trading on or near a foreshore area, it is vital that the Beaches, Foreshore, Estuaries and Harbours Bye Laws - County Meath - 2010 are adhered to.
Meath County Council accept application forms for Casual Trading Licences at the following locations:
Town/Village Location Designated Area
Oldcastle Market Square 2 No. Pitches
Athboy Car Park 2 No. Pitches
Athboy Main Street 1 No. Pitch
*LaytownBettystown Beach 6 No. Pitches
Meath County Council invites applications from parties interested in taking up Casual Trading Licences for trading bays at Bettystown beach. These Licences are to allow trading for the 2024 season.

The closing date for receipt of completed forms is on or before 4.00p.m. 28th March, 2024.
Please note: Casual Trading Bye-Laws, 1997 Section 24c states the following “Individual Trading spaces shall be allocated by the Council by such methods that it may, at its discretion decide. This shall not exclude allocation by lot”.
The Council reserves the right to accept or decline any application and to cancel or withdraw any concession issued.
