TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD

N3 2+2 ROAD, National Road N3 (CAVAN BOUND AND DUBLIN BOUND)

M3 CLONEE TO NORTH OF KELLS MOTORWAY SCHEME

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council has made an order to close the N3 2+2 Road (Cavan Bound and Dublin Bound), to through traffic from Drumbaragh Roundabout to Derver Roundabout.

This closure is required to facilitate remedial works as part of the M3 Clonee to North of Kells Motorway Scheme.

DURATION

The proposed closure will be commencing on Monday 09th July 2018 to Sunday 29th July 2018.

Times of the closure as follows: -                               00:00hrs – 24:00hrs

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

For Northbound Closure:

Travelling northbound from M3 Motorway: take the third exit on the Mullingar Road Southern Twin Roundabout to N52 direction, on next roundabout take first exit heading for N52 and continue for 1.6 km approx. to Virginia roundabout, taking first exit direction N3 (R147) and continue for about 8 Km approx. until you reach Derver roundabout.

Travelling northbound from R163: take N3 southbound to Mullingar Road Southern Twin Roundabout, and from there follow direction above.

For Southbound Closure: take second exit on Derver roundabout, continue for about 8 Km approx. until Virginia roundabout, take third exit on the roundabout heading to Dublin on the N52 for about 1.6 Km approx. until you reach Mullingar Road Northern Twin roundabout, where you can follow direction for Dublin (M3) or to Cavan (N3)

Diversion signs will be in place.

Local Access

Residents and property holders will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
