The proposed closure will be over a 2 day period from 9.00am to 6.00pm during the week commencing the 27th August 2018.
Alternative Routes
HGV’s Travelling Westbound:
Turn left onto R162 and travel for a distance of 15km to Navan, at the roundabout turn right onto N51. Travel along the N51 for a distance of 770m following the signs for Kells, turn right continuing on the N51 for a distance of 700m. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto R147 sign posted Kells and travel along the R147 for a distance of 12.8km. At the roundabout take the first exit onto N3 signposted Dublin/Cavan. Travel along the N3 for a distance of 2km following the sign posts M3 Cavan. Merge onto M3 Cavan and travel northbound for a distance of 2.9km returning back to N52 at the M3/N52 roundabout.
All other Traffic Travelling Westbound:
Turn left onto R162 and travel for a distance of 15km to Navan, at the roundabout turn right onto N51. Travel along the N51 for a distance of 770m following the signs for Kells, turn right continuing on the N51 for a distance of 700m. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto R147 sign posted Kells and travel along the R147 for a distance of 15km. At the roundabout, take the second exit to travel on the R147 into Kells. In Kells town, continue on the R147 to the N52/R147 Roundabout.
HGV’s Travelling Eastbound:
Turn Left onto M3 signposted Dublin, continue on the M3 for a distance of 2.9km and take exit No.10 signposted R147 Kells (South) onto the N3. Travel along the N3 for a distance of 2km, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit Signposted R147 Navan. Travel along the R147 for a distance of 12.8km. At the roundabout take the 2nd Exit signposted N51 Drogheda. Travel along the N51 for a distance of 700m. Turn right onto the N51 signposted Drogheda and continue for a distance of 770m. At the roundabout turn left onto the R162. Travel along the R162 for a distance of 15km. Turn right onto N52 signposted Dundalk.
All other Traffic Travelling Eastbound:
At the N52/R147 Roundabout, turn right onto the R147 signposted Kells. Travel along the R147 to reach the roundabout. At the roundabout take the first exit and travel along R147 sign posted Navan. Travel along the R147 for a distance of 12.8km. At the roundabout take the 2nd Exit signposted N51 Drogheda. Travel along the N51 for a distance of 700m. Turn right onto the N51 sign posted Drogheda and continue for a distance of 770m. At the roundabout turn left onto the R162. Travel along the R162 for a distance of 15km. Turn right onto N52 sign posted Dundalk.
