The road closure will be for a 5 day period from Monday 10th September until Friday 14th September, 2018 both days inclusive.

Alternative Route

HGV’s Travelling Westbound:

In Navan travel along the N51 to its junction with R147, turn onto R147 sign posted Kells and travel for a distance of 12.8km. At the roundabout take the first exit onto N3 signposted Dublin/Cavan. Travel along the N3 for a distance of 2km following the sign posts M3 Cavan. Merge onto M3 Cavan and travel northbound for a distance of 2.9km. At the roundabout turn left onto N52 signposted Delvin. Travel along the N52 for a distance of 20km returning back onto the N51 at Delvin Village. 

All other Traffic Travelling Westbound:

In Navan travel along the N51 to its junction with R147, turn onto R147 sign posted Kells and travel along the R147 for a distance of 15km. At the roundabout, take the second exit and travel on the R147 into Kells. In Kells town, continue on the R147 to the N52/R147 Roundabout. Turn left onto N52 Kells Bypass signposted Mullingar. Travel along the N52 for a distance of 20km returning back onto the N51 in Delvin Village. 

HGV’s Travelling Eastbound:

In Delvin travel along the N52 signposted Kells for a distance of 20km. At its junction with M3 turn onto M3, travel southbound for a distance of 2.9km. Exit M3 at junction 10 and turn left on to N3 link road for a distance of 2km. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the R147 signposted Navan. Travel along the R147 for a distance of 12.8km returning back onto the N51 in Navan.

All other Traffic Travelling Eastbound:

In Delvin travel along the N52 signposted Kells for a distance of 20km. At its junction with M3 at the roundabout take 2nd exit sign posted Kells, at the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto N52 signposted Ardee. At N52/R147 take 3rd exit signposted Kells and travel along the R147 for a distance of 15km returning back onto the N51 in Navan.

Diversion signs will be in place. Local access will be provided.
