Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the N51 Slane Road at Blackcastle on the approach to the N51/R162 Flowerhill Roundabout, Flowerhill, Co. Meath.

This closure is required to facilitate resurfacing works on the N51 at the approach to the N51/R162 Flowerhill Roundabout.

Duration

The proposed closure will be over a 2 day period commencing on Monday 20th August 2018 at 8.00am until Tuesday 21st August 2018 at 8.00pm.

Alternative Route

N51 Diversion from Navan to Slane

From the N51/R162 Roundabout at Flowerhill in Navan, take the R162 Proudstown Road northbound to its junction with the R163 at Kilberry. Turn right onto the R163, continue eastbound on the R163 until the N51/R163 junction at Slane Castle. Turn onto the N51.

N51 Diversion from Slane to Navan

At the N51/R163 junction at Slane Castle, turn right onto the R163. Continue travelling on the R163 until the R163/R162 junction at Kilberry. Turn left and follow the R162 into Navan.

Diversion signs will be in place. Local access will be provided onto the closed section of the N51.

Submissions and observations to the proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath C15 Y291, or by e-mail to transport@meathcoco.ie on or before Wednesday 1st August 2018.
