Temporary Closure of Road of a section of the L-16014 Oldbridge Road, from its junction with the L-16012 Sheephouse Road, in the Townland of Oldbridge, Co Meath, to its junction with the L-16015 Rathmullan Road, in the Townland of Rathmullan, Co Meath
Meath County Council has made an order to temporarily close a section of L-16014 Oldbridge Road, Oldbridge, Co Meath in order to facilitate construction works as part of the Boyne Boardwalk Refurbishment Scheme.
The closures will take place from 10am on Monday 30 September 2024 and will continue until Friday 22 November 2024 inclusive The road will remain closed to all traffic during these times.
Alternative Routes
From the Oldbridge Road to the Rathmullan Road
Traffic will be diverted south from the junction of L-16014 Oldbridge Road and L-16012 Sheephouse Road, travelling along the L-16012 Sheephouse Road, which becomes the L-16013, towards the junction of the L-16013 Sheephouse Road/L-1601 Drogheda Road, turning left on to the L-1601 Drogheda Road, remaining on the L-1601 Drogheda Road as it heads northeast towards Drogheda, turning north on to Marley’s Lane and continuing north to its junction with the Rathmullan Road, turning right on to the Rathmullan Road, and continuing on the junction with the Rathmullan Road/L-16014 Oldbridge Road/L-16015 Sheephouse Road to Diversion Ends.
From the Rathmullan Road to the Oldbridge Road
Traffic will be diverted from the Rathmullan Road on to Marley’s Lane, and continuing south to its junction with the Drogheda/Donore Road, turning left on to the Donore Road, travelling south west until its junction with the L-16013 Sheephouse Road, turning right on to the L16013 Sheephouse Road, which becomes the L-16012, continuing on the junction with the L-16014 Oldbridge Road/L-16012 Sheephouse Road to Diversion Ends.

Local Access
Local access to residents and businesses/deliveries will be maintained during the works. Traffic will not be able to travel through the Road Closure, due to the nature of the works being undertaken.
Pedestrian Access
A pedestrian corridor will be maintained along the Oldbridge Road during the Road Closure.
