Temporary Closure of R156 from Mullagh Crossroads to Warrenstown, Co. Meath
Meath County Council intends to close the R156 from Mullagh Crossroads to Warrenstown, Co. Meath between its junction with the R125 and its junction with the L62202-0, to facilitate resurfacing works on the R156 at locations from Mullagh Crossroads to Warrenstown.

- Closure from 9.00am on Tuesday, 29th October 2019 until 6.00pm on Friday, 8th November 2019.
Alternative Route
R156 Diversion from Dunboyne to Summerhill
- From Dunboyne, at Newtown Bridge take the 3rd exit for the R157.
- Continue east on the R157 to its junction with the R147
- Take the 1st exit for the R147.
- Continue north on the R147 to its junction with the R154
- Take the 1st exit for the R154.
- Continue northwest on R154 to its junction with the R125,
- Take a left for the R125.
- Continue southwest on the R125 to its junction with the R156,
- Take a right for the R156.
- Continue west on R156 for Summerhill.
R156 Diversion from Summerhill to Dunboyne
- At the junction of the R156 and the R125, turn left onto the R125.
- Continue north on the R125 to its junction with the R154 and turn right.
- Continue south on the R154 to its junction with the R147 and take the 3rd exit for the R147.
- Continue south on the R147 to its junction with the R157 and take the 2nd exit for the R157.
- Continue west on the R157 to Newtown Bridge and take the 1st exit for Dunboyne.
Diversion signs will be in place. Local access will be provided onto the closed section of the R156.
