Temporary Closure of Cannon Row(R895), Brews Hill (L-3416-0), Trimgate Street (R161) and Railway Street (R161) in Navan, Co. Meath

Meath County Council has made an order to close

• Cannon Row (Regional Road R895) from its junction with Railway St. (Regional Road R161)/Brews Hill/Trimgate Street to the junction with Abbey Road (Regional Road R895) Roundabout,
• Railway Street (Regional Road R161) from the junction at the Solstice Roundabout (Junction Of Circular Road/Leighsbrook/Railway Street) to Brew’s Hill/ Trimgate Street/Cannon Row Junction,
• Trimgate Street from Brews Hill junction to Kennedy Road,
• Brews Hill from Commons Road to its junction with Railway Street (Regional Road R161)/Brews Hill/Trimgate Street,

in the Townland of Townparks and Abbeylands South in Navan, to facilitate road pavement resurfacing, line marking and ancillary works as part of the Navan Town Scheme.

Details

The closure will be:

• from Monday, 27th January 2020 until Thursday, 30th January 2020 inclusive, during the hours of 8.00pm to 6.00am, and
• from Monday, 3rd February 2020 until Thursday, 6th February 2020 inclusive, during the hours of 8.00pm to 6.00am.

Alternative Routes

From Commons Road/Brews Hill Junction

• Traffic is to be diverted west on the L-3416-0 to the N51 (Navan Inner Relief Road)
• Then eastbound on the N51 to the R147 junction
• Then southbound on the N51 to Cannon Row (R895) and onto Abbey Road.
• Traffic is then diverted from the Abbey Road roundabout at the Garda Station to Kennedy Road
• And from Kennedy Road to the junction with Trimgate Street.
• Diversion ends.

Alternatively:

• Traffic is to be diverted west on the L-3416-0 to the N51 (Navan Inner Relief Road)
• Then from The N51 to the R147
• From the R147 continue southbound to Circular Road
• Divert to the Solstice Roundabout.
• Diversion ends.

From Solstice Roundabout to Commons Road Junction

• Traffic is to be diverted eastbound on Circular Road to the R147
• Then left northbound on R147 to the N51/R147 junction
• Left onto the N51 Navan Inner Relief Road,
• Turn left onto L-3416-0 to Commons Road/ Brews Hill junction.
• Diversion ends.

Diversion signs will be in place. Local access to residents and businesses will be accommodated. Pedestrians will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
