TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD

KENTSTOWN ROAD (REGIONAL ROAD R153) at the New Bridge, Athlumney, Navan

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council has made an order to close the R153 Kentstown Road at New Bridge, Athlumney, Navan.

This closure is required to facilitate service connection works at the New Bridge.

DURATION:

The closure will commence on Saturday, 19th May, 2018 at 6:00p.m. and will continue to Monday, 21st May, 2018 at 6:00a.m.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

From East to West

The traffic is to be diverted east on the R153 for a distance of 1,900m to its junction with the L5055 Metges Road. At the junction, traffic is directed south onto the L5055 Metges Road. From here, continue for a distance of 600m on the L-5055-5 to its junction with the L50555 Sion Road. Turn west onto the L50555 Sion Road and continue for a distance of 830m to its junction with the R147. At the junction, turn north onto the R-147 and continue for a distance of 1,450m.

From West to East

The traffic is to be diverted south on the R147 for a distance of 1,450m to the junction with the L50555 Sion Road. At the junction, traffic is directed east onto the L50555. From here, continue for a distance of 830m to the junction with the L5055 Metges Road. Turn north onto the L5055 Metges road and continue for a distance of 600m to its junction with the R153. From here, turn west and continue on the R153 for a distance of 1,900m.

Diversion signs will be in place.

PEDESTRIAN ACCESS:

Pedestrians will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
