Provision of traffic calming measures on the R-158, Dangan National School Summerhill
Meath County Council, in the exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, hereby gives notice that it has prepared a scheme to provide traffic calming measures on the R-158 at Dangan National school, Summerhill, Co. Meath.
These proposed works are in the interest of the safety and convenience of students, parents road users at the National primary school in accordance with Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (as amended).
This Scheme provides for:
- Provision of controlled pedestrian crossing point.
- Installation of additional ramps on the R-158 to reduce speed and noise of traffic
- Reduction of carriageway width to 6.5m
- Increase width and upgrade existing footpaths
- Installation of roadside school themed bollards
- Upgrade of existing and provision of new Road markings
The plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection during office hours at the offices of the Local Authority or online as listed below:
