Proposed Temporary Road Closure Of L-5629-8 Harlinstown, Co. Meath

Meath County Council intends to temporarily close L-5629-8 at Harlinstown, from its junction with the L-1625-7 to its junction with the R-163-4, to facilitate the construction of cattle underpass.

Details

• The road closure will be from 10.00am on Monday, 10th February 2020 to 5.00pm on Thursday, 20th February 2020, both dates inclusive.

Alternative Routes:

Northbound

• Take a left on the R163 and head west.
• Continue along the R163 for 8km until it meets the R162 in Kilberry.
• Take a right onto the R162
• Continue north for a further 3.55km to Wilkinstown.
• At Wilkinstown, take the right before the railway crossing on the L3410-14 towards Rathkenny.
• Travel west for 8.65km continuing until Creewood.
• At Creewood, turn right to return to the L-1625-7.

Southbound

• On the L-1625-7, continue north to the L-1624-0 at Creewood.
• At Creewood, turn left onto the L-1624-0.
• Continue east for 8.65km until Wilkinstown.
• At Wilkinstown, turn left onto the R162
• Continue south for 3.55km to Kilberry.
• In Kilberry, turn left onto the R163 signposted for Slane.
• Continue for 8km and return to the L-5629-8.

Diversion and information signage will be in place. Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
