Meath County Council intends to temporarily close the following roads in Trim Town, Castle Street Trim and Athboy to facilitate the holding of the Púca Festival by Fáilte Ireland.

Meath County Council intends to temporarily close the following roads in Trim Town, Castle Street Trim and Athboy to facilitate the holding of the Púca Festival by Fáilte Ireland.

Trim Town 
  • Jonathan Swift Road, St Loman’s St, Sarsfield Ave, Church Lane, Haggard St, High St, Mill Lane, Mill St, Bridge St, Market St, Castle St, French’s Lane, Boyne Cottages, Finnegan’s Way, Emmet St and Watergate St.

The proposed closure will be on Saturday 2 November 2024 from 5pm to 9pm.

Castle Street, Trim

The proposed closure will be from Thursday 31 October 2024 until Sunday 3 November 2024 from 7.30pm to 8.30pm daily

Alternative Routes 

Travelling North or East from Summerhill/Longwood, continue North/East on the Ring Road to the required junctions.

Travelling South or East from Athboy, Dunderry or Navan, continue South/East on the Ring Road to the required junctions.

Athboy
  • Fairgreen, L-4003 & L-4002-2 Fairgreen, L-40031-29, L4003-2 Hill of Ward.

The proposed closure will be from 5pm until 9pm on Thursday 31 October 2024.

Local diversion and information signage will be in place.

Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.

Submissions and observations to the proposed temporary road closures may be made in writing to the Transportation Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co Meath C15 Y291 or by email to transport@meathcoco.ie on or before Tuesday 8 October 2024
