Proposed Temporary Closure of Regional Road R154 Trim to Athboy Road at Addanstown, Co Meath
Meath County Council intends to temporarily close R154 Trim to Athboy Road at the townlands of Addanstown, Clonfane and Tullaghanogue.
The proposed 24 hr. closure will commence 9.30am Tuesday, 22 April 2025 to 5pm Friday, 16 May 2025.
This closure is required to facilitate the replacement of Addanstown Bridge.
Alternative Routes
Athboy Bound Traffic on R154
From Addanstown Bridge take R154 southeastwards to its junction with R161 in Trim, turn left onto R161 towards Navan and continue to its junction with L34142 Dan Shaw Road, turn left onto L34142 Dan Shaw Road and continue to N51 Andy Connolly Roundabout via L34145 through Clogherboy Park. At N51 Andy Connolly Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto N51 towards Athboy, continue on N51 to its junction with R154 in Athboy, turn left onto R154 and continue to Addanstown Bridge.
Trim Bound Traffic on R154
From Addanstown Bridge take R154 northwestwards to its junction with N51 Athboy, turn right onto N51 towards Navan, continue on N51 to N51 Andy Connolly Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto L34145 Clogherboy and continue via L34142 Dan Shaw Road to R161 Trim Road junction, turn right onto R161 towards Trim, continue on R161 to its junction with R154 in Trim, turn right onto R154 and continue to Addanstown Bridge.
Diversion signs will be in place. Local Access will be facilitated up to the bridge location.
