Proposed Temporary Closure of R-164 Farrell Street, Kells, Co. Meath
Meath County Council intends to temporarily close R-164 Farrell Street, Kells including L-28141-1 The Grove, Kells, from its junction with L-2814-0 Suffolk Street to its junction with R-163 New Market Street/Kenlis Place.
The proposed closure will be from 3pm to 5.30pm on Sunday 1 December 2024.
This closure is required to facilitate the turning on of the Christmas lights.
Alternative Routes:
From R164 Bective Street:
- Turn left onto Suffolk Street to the junction with R-163 Cannon Street, turn right onto New Market Street and continue to the junction of Farrell Street/Cross Street and rejoin R-164
From R164 Cross Street:
- Turn right on to New Market Street to its junction with Suffolk Street, from there turn left to the junction with Farrell Street and from there rejoin R-164
From R163 Kenlis Place::
- Continue straight at the junction of Farrell Street /Cross Street onto New Market Street to its junction with Suffolk Street, from there turn left to the junction with Farrell Street and from there rejoin R-164
Diversion and information signage will be in place. Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
