Proposed Temporary Closure of R-161, Navan Trim Rd, Co Meath for Rás Tailteann Cycling Race
Meath County Council intends to temporarily close R-161, Navan Trim Rd, at Connell’s Cross, Balgill to Dunganny, Co Meath.
The proposed closure will be from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 25 May 2025.
This road closure is required to facilitate the final stage of Rás Tailteann Cycling Race.
Alternative Routes
Traffic from Navan will turn right at Balgill onto L-40081 for Shambo, then take a left onto L-4007 for Robinstown, through Robinstown Village on L-40071 and back onto R-161 at Dunganny.
Traffic from Trim will take a left at Dunganny onto L-40071, through Robinstown Village, then take a right at Shambo Cross onto L-40081 and back onto R-161 at Balgill.
Diversion and information signage will be in place. Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
