Proposed Temporary Closure of N51 Slane/Navan Road between Slane Castle Demesne/Castleparks and Blackcastle Co. Meath
Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the N51 Slane/Navan Road between Slane Castle Demesne/Castleparks and Blackcastle, Co. Meath, to facilitate resurfacing works on the N51 at Dunmoe and on the N51 at Craig’s Cross Roads.
Details
- The proposed closure will be over a 2 week period between 9am and 5pm commencing on Monday 20th January 2020 until Friday 31st January 2020.
Alternative Routes
N51 Diversion from Navan to Slane
- From the N51/R162 Roundabout at Flowerhill in Navan, take the R162 Proudstown Road northbound to its junction with the R163 at Kilberry.
- Turn right onto the R163.
- Continue eastbound on the R163 until the N51/R163 junction at Slane Castle.
- Turn onto the N51.
N51 Diversion from Slane to Navan
- At the N51/R163 junction at Slane Castle, turn right onto the R163.
- Continue travelling on the R163 until the R163/R162 junction at Kilberry.
- Turn left and follow the R162 into Navan.
Diversion signs will be in place. Local access will be provided onto the closed section of the N51.
