Notice of permanent closure of road in St. Patrick's Park, Dunboyne, Co. Meath at its junction with the Navan Road - to improve resident and pedestrian safety on the road at St. Patrick's Park Housing Estate, Dunboyne

Meath County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 as amended and the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009 hereby gives notice that it has prepared a scheme for the permanent closure of the road in St. Patrick’s Park, Dunboyne at its junction with the Navan Road, to improve resident and pedestrian safety on the road at the St. Patrick’s Park Housing Estate, Dunboyne, Co. Meath.

Representations in relation to the proposed works, may be made in writing on or before Friday, 3rd May 2019

The Scheme provides for 

  • Complete closure of the junction from St. Patrick’s Park, Dunboyne with the Navan Road. This will preclude traffic travelling on the Summerhill (L2228) and the Navan Roads from using the road through the housing estate instead of continuing onto the junction at the north end of Main Street.
     
  • Alterations to existing kerb lines, signage and public lighting and associated works. 

The plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection during office hours from Monday, 1st April 2019 to Friday, 3rd May 2019 inclusive, at the offices of the Local Authority listed below:

  • Dunboyne Library, Rooske Road, Castlefarm, Dunboyne, County Meath A86 H393 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10.00a.m-5.00p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10.00a.m-8.30p.m., Saturday 10.00a.m.-2.00p.m.) 

and will be available for purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of Meath County Council, listed below:
