Commencement Notice - Upgrade of the Junction at Market St/Watergate St/Emmet St in Trim, Co Meath

Works are scheduled to commence on Monday 14th January 2019

Meath County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009, hereby gives notice that works for the upgrade of the junction at Market St/Watergate St/Emmet St, Trim, Co Meath to provide improved traffic calming and pedestrian movements are scheduled to commence on Monday 14th January 2019.

The scheme provides for the following:

  1. Traffic calming works at the junction to include for a raised table and pedestrian crossings on all three streets
  2. Upgrade works on both footpaths on Watergate St from the raised table at the junction towards the bridge
  3. Traffic calming works at the existing pedestrian crossing on Market St at the Bank of Ireland to include for a raised table
  4. All ancillary works to include for drainage, road marking, signage etc

The plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available for inspection during office hours at the offices of the Local Authority at Trim Civic Offices, Mornington House, Summerhill Road, Trim, Co Meath or at Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co Meath
