Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019

The Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019 sets out a vision and an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the County for a six-year period. It also sets out guiding policies and objectives for the development of the County in terms of physical growth and renewal, economic, social and cultural activity, and environmental protection and enhancement. The Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019 must take account of various national and regional strategies and guidelines. The Plan reflects consultation with the general public and other interested bodies.

The making of the Meath County Development Plan, Local Area Plans, any variation of a Plan and any material contravention of the Plan is a function reserved to the elected members of the Council. The Council must take the necessary steps to implement the objectives which are contained in the development plan.

The current Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019 was adopted on 17th December 2012 and came into effect on 22nd January 2013 and may be inspected in the Planning Department, Buvinda House, Dublin Road Road, Navan, Co. Meath, Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm, including the five area offices and Public Libraries during normal working hours.

Volume 4 – Strategic Environmental Assessment & Appropriate Assessment
