Trim Walled Town Festival 2012 Programme
Thursday 16th August 5.30 p.m. Launch of ‘Wellington Proud to be Irish’ by Eliza Pakenham. O.P.W. offices, Jonathan Swift Street, Trim. Arthur Wellesley – the most famous member of Trim Corporation. 160th anniversary of his death. All Welcome.
Friday 17th August 11.00 a.m. Medieval Arts and Crafts for children 3-10 years. Trim Library. Place are limited so booking is essential at (046) 9436014. An adult must accompany a child under 7. Free event. Contact Maedhbh Rogan-McGann mrogan@meathcoco.ie
Sunday 19th August 11.30 a.m. Walking tour of part of Town Walls with archaeologist, Finola O’Carroll, CRDS. Meet at Trim Tourist Office, Castle Street.

4.30 Medieval Fancy Dress Parade - come along in fancy dress – prizes for all entries
Make your own shield, Colouring competition, falconry display, face painting, try your hand at archery, drumming workshop, pottery, pottery painting, bronze on the Boyne exhibition, building in a tradition style, blacksmith, local artists, wood turning, handcrafted walking sticks, animals and more. All Free.
Antiques and More Fair, Trim Castle Hotel noon until 6.00 p.m. (Admission charge)
Trim Visitor Centre and Tourist Office – Free exhibition of antique jewellery and clothes. Textile exhibition by Emma Noonan. Free entry to Power and Glory Exhibition.
Trim Castle – Free entry to Castle.
