Kells Swimming Pool is situated on the edge of Kells Town just off the Navan Road in a quiet cul-de-sac adjacent to all the local schools.
Opened in 1976 Kells Swimming Pool has been serving the people of Kells and surrounding areas for 35 years.
Kells Swimming Pool is truly a “Community” Amenity. Built on land donated by the (Catholic Church /Kells Parish) the people of Kells raised £25,000 to secure the promised funding from Dept of Local Government. To this day Kells Pool is an established landmark for Sport, Leisure and Health in the Kells area.
Today it is the only pool owned and operated by Meath Co. Council whose generous funding ensures that local people have an affordable leisure facility.
Every week Kells Pool plays host to thousands of people who simply enjoy the sport of swimming, some for fitness and others chasing elusive medals in the highly competitive sport of swimming.
