Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers vested in it under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004, and in the interests of road safety, Meath County Council has made an order to apply Road Works Speed Limits at the locations described below.

These speed limits are to facilitate road resurfacing and improvement works, and will apply from 3rd May to 31st August 2012
 

Schedule for Road Works Speed Limit Order

The Road Works Speed Limit to be applied shall be fifty (50) kilometres per hour.

1.  Part of the R155 CURRAGHA – RATOATH ROAD, from the existing 50km//60km Gateway Signs on  the southern side of Curragha Village for a distance of 1500 metres south
                   (a) Part of the L-50171 from it’s junction with the R155 for a distance of 200 metres southeast
                   (b) Part of the L-10061 from it’s junction with the R155 for a distance of 200 metres west 

2.  Part of the R125 KILCOCK – DUNSHAUGHLIN ROAD at Phepotstown from a point 50 metres north of it’s junction with the L-6217 for a distance of 1500 metres north.
                   (a) Part of the L-6215 from it’s junction with the R125 for a distance of 200 metres west.     


3.   Part of the R156 DUNBOYNE – SUMMERHILL ROAD  at Blackhall Big from a point 1000 metres east of it’s junction with the L-6207 for a distance of 1300 metres southeast.
                   (a) Part of the L-62201 from it’s junction with the R156 for a distance of 100metres south
                   (b) Part of the L-2214 from it’s junction with the R156 for a distance of 200metres south
                   (c) Part of the L-2215 from it’s junction with the R156 for a distance of 200metres north

4.   Part of the R125 ASHBOURNE  - SWORDS ROAD at Donaghmore from a point 100 metres northeast of the centreline of the circulatory roadway  of the ninemilestone roundabout for a distance of 650 metres east.


5.   Part of the R157 DUNBOYNE – MAYNOOTH ROAD at Hamwood from a point 700 metres northeast of it’s junction with the L-2218 for a distance of 1300 metres southwest
                 (a) Part of the L-2218 from it’s junction with the R157 for a distance of 100 metres south.

6.   Part of the L-5045 BALLYMURPHY, from a point 15 metres south of it’s junction with the L-5029 for a distance of 1560 metres south.

7.   Part of the L-6219 NEWTOWNMOYAGHY, from a point 100m southwest of it’s junction with the L-62181 for a distance of 2650 metres

                (a) Part of the L-62181 for a distance of 100 metres northeast

8.   Part of the L-6212 AGHER,  from a point 200 metres southwest of it’s junction with the L-6211-15 to a point 1400 metres northeast.

                (a)   Part of the L-6211-15 northbound from it’s junction with the L-6212 for a distance of 100m
                (b)   Part of the L-6211-15 southbound from it’s junction with the L-6212 for a distance of 100m

 
9.   Part of the L-1007 CHEEVERSTOWN, from a point 200m southeast of it’s junction with L-10073 for a distance of 3100 metres northwest

               (a) Part of the L-5021 from it’s junction with the L-1007 for a distance of 100 meters west

               (b) Part of the L-5020 from it’s junction with the L-1007 for a distance of 100 meters west


10.  Part of the L-2214 KILLEANY, from a point 900m north of it’s junction with the L6219 for a distance of 1600m north

            (c)  Part of the L-1010 from it’s junction with the L-1008 for a distance of 190 metres southwest

13.  Part of the L-2200 RINGLESTOWN, from a point 200 metres southwest of it’s junction with L-22003 for a distance of 700 metres north

            (a) Part of the L-22003 from it’s junction with the L-2200 for a distance of 100 metres southeast

14.  Part of the L-2215 LISMAHON, from it’s junction with the R154 for a distance of 1200 metres southwest.
