Local Area Plans

Dunboyne / Clonee / Pace, Dunshaughlin and Ratoath are the three centres in the Ratoath Municipal District Area that continue to have their own individual Local Area Plans in place.

A significant amendment to each of the Local Area Plans (all prepared in 2009) was made on March 2nd 2015 to ensure consistency with the land use zoning objectives and Order of Priority for the release of lands for each centre contained in the Meath County Development Plan 2013 – 2019, as varied.

2014 Version:

Written Statement and Detailed Objectives for Remaining Centres

Variation No. 2 to the Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019 was made on Monday 19th May, 2014. This Variation introduced a written statement, development objectives including land use zoning objectives for 34 no. centres / group of centres across the county. The Variation also introduced an Order of Priority which will manage the release of residential and employment lands for these centres / group of centres.

The individual Local Area Plans for each of these centres / groups of centres were revoked at the March 2nd 2015 meeting of Meath County Council.

A link to the written statement and land use zoning objectives map for each urban centre in the Ratoath Municipal District now included under Volume V of the County Development Plan 2013-2019, as varied, is provided underneath.
