Notice of the Making of the East Meath Local Area Plan 2014-2020
The new East Meath Local Area Plan 2014-2020 was adopted on 7th July 2014 and comes into effect from Sunday, 3rd August, 2014. The LAP covers the areas of Bettystown, Laytown, Mornington East, Donacarney and Mornington.
The LAP 2014-2020 is accompanied by an SEA Statement and Environmental Report, prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 – 2011 and an Appropriate Assessment (Natura Impact Report), pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC. A Strategic Flood Risk Assessment has also been completed.
The Plan consists of 4 Volumes:
a) Volume 1 – Written Statement
b) Volume 2 – Book of Maps (Appendix A & Appendix B)
c) Volume 3 – Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)
d) Volume 4 – Strategic Environmental Assessment – Environmental Statement and Appropriate Assessment
The East Meath LAP 2014-2020 is also available for inspection at the following locations from Tuesday, 5th August, 2014:
- Planning Department, Meath County Council “Buvinda House” Dublin Road Navan Co. Meath Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
- Duleek Civic Office, Main Street, Duleek, Co. Meath. Opening Times: Monday, 9.00am to 1.00pm, 2.00pm to 5.15pm, Tuesday to Friday, 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Copies of the Plan in digital format on (CD) are available from the Planning Department, “Buvinda House” Dublin Road Navan Co. Meath at a price of €15.
