Commemoration of Eamonn Duggan

and Liam Mellows at Buvinda House

 

A ceremony took place today in the 1916 Garden of Meath County Council HQ, Buvinda House, to commemorate Eamonn Duggan and Liam Mellows, who were elected in 1918 to represent the constituencies of Meath South and Meath North in the first Dáil. Today is a historic milestone, as on this day 100 years ago the Dáil met for the first time.
