REPLACEMENT NOTICE - NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

 AT BALREASK OLD, BALLYBATTER OR BALREASK NEW, AND KENNASTOWN

 

In accordance with the above regulations, notice is hereby given that Meath County Council proposes to carry out the following development:

 

The construction of a Local Distributor Road, LDR1B, between the R161 Trim Road and the Navan South Road (connecting to Junction 8 of the M3 motorway), and crossing the L8010 Borallion Road /Kilcarne Lane, Navan, Co. Meath.

 

The proposed development is as follows:

Approximately 1.4 km of single carriageway distributor road and associated signalised junctions and roundabout junctions, with the following elements:

  • Cycling and walking facilities

  • Street Lighting

  • Associated site clearance, fencing, utilities, drainage, attenuation, earthworks, paving, and other ancillary civil engineering works associated with road construction

 

In accordance with Article 81 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001-2018, Meath County Council has concluded from a preliminary examination, that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.

Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.

 

The plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at  http://www.meath.ie/CountyCouncil/Planning/Part8s/ or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of Meath County Council from Monday, 17th December, 2018 to Thursday, 24th January, 2019 excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, at the following location:

  •   Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath C15Y291

(Opening hours: 9.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. and 2.00p.m. to 4.00p.m.)

 

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made 

  • in writing to the Planning Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath, C15Y291
  • or emailed to planning@meathcoco.ie 

on or before Thursday, 7th February 2019.

 

Please note that this is a replacement notice from the previous notice published on 10th November and any valid submissions made during the previous submission period will be taken into account on foot of this notice.
