PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MEATH COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION SCHEME 2016 - 2021

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council, being the Planning Authority located in County Meath, has reviewed and proposed amendments to the Meath County Development Contribution Scheme 2016 - 2021, in accordance with the provisions of Section 48 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 to 2017.

 

Amendments to the Scheme include: 

  1. Exemptions and reductions shall not apply to Special Development Contributions.
  2. Propose new category for ‘Other’ Development.
  3. Exemptions and reductions shall not apply to retention permissions.
  4. Include exemption of 100% from development contributions for social housing units supplied to the Local Authority by an Approved Housing Body or units provided by the Local Authority itself.
  5. Include exemption of 100% from development contributions for any telecommunication infrastructure, both mobile and broadband being developed as part of a Government endorsed telecommunications strategy, plan or initiative.
  6. Include the ‘Boat Slipways Project’ to the list of Projects that may be funded from development contributions.

 

The proposed amendments to the Meath County Development Contribution Scheme 2016 - 2021 will be available for inspection during normal working hours from 7th August, to 18thSeptember, 2018 online at http://www.meath.ie/CountyCouncil/Publications/PlanningPublications/DevelopmentContributions/ and at the following locations:-

  •  Meath County Council Civic Offices, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath – Monday to Friday between 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 4.00pm.

  • Kells Municipal District, Kells Civic Office,  Headfort Place, Kells, A82 W2R3 from 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm (5.15pm Monday)
  • Laytown-Bettystown Municipal District, Duleek Civic Office, Main Street, Duleek, A92 R9KW from 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm (5.15pm Monday)
  • Ratoath Municipal District, Dunshauglin Civic Office, Drumree Road, Dunshaughlin A85 XK20 from 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm (5.15pm Monday)
  • Trim Municipal District, Trim Civic Office, Mornington House,  Summerhill Road, Trim C15 P2HE from 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm (5.15pm Monday)
  • Ashbourne Municipal District, Ashbourne Civic Office, 1 -2 Killegland Square Upper, Ashbourne, A84 NY73 from 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm (5.15pm Monday)

 

Submissions or observations in respect of the Proposed Amendments may be made:

  • in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Planning Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath, clearly marked "Amendments to the Meath County Development Contribution Scheme 2016 - 2021 or
  • by email to contribscheme@meathcoco.ie clearly marked "Amendments to the Meath County Development Contribution Scheme 2016 - 2021", or

before 4.00pm on 18th September, 2018.
